I.A. Lewin, P.E., and Associates was established to provide structural engineering services to various clients and industries locally and nationally.

We provide engineering services for Owners, Developers, Architects, and Contractors. Our projects include new construction, additions, structural repairs

and modifications, structural surveys, and construction consulting on various projects. We provide structural engineering services for commercial buildings

such as hotels, shopping centers, and office buildings; industrial facilities such as steel, sand, glass, recycling, and plastics; and

institutional buildings such as churches, schools, municipal buildings, and libraries. In 2015, we were pleased to increase our services to

include Site/Civil Engineering. Since then, new projects have included site grading, parking lot design, drainage design, retaining wall design and analysis,

and other general civil services. Our office makes it a point to respond quickly to field issues so that we do not keep construction crews waiting for a response.

Total project costs for the projects we have designed range from $10,000 to $20,000,000.

 

The firm has been established since 1986.  Our current staff includes professional engineers, EITs, designers/drafters, and administrative professionals.

We utilize the most recent versions of industry-leading software for drafting and structural analysis, including AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil3D,

Revit, RISA 3D, Enercalc, Tedds, and Microsoft Office. We remain current with construction costs by feedback

from contractors and estimating manuals. We are conveniently located on the east side of Cleveland, close to major highways and airports.

In January 2024 I.A. Lewin, P.E. and Associates announced the addition of three engineers to Principal positions at the firm.

Gayle Lewin, P.E., Alek Babel, P.E., S.E., and Brian Tomcik, P.E., LEED AP,

who collectively bring more than 60 years of experience will guide IALPE’s strategy, development, and growth in this new chapter of the

company’s history. Adding to the 50 years of experience from Isaac Lewin, P.E. S.E. (founder and owner),

the firm will maintain its leadership in offering Structural and Civil Engineering services to the

public, design professionals, and the construction community.

 

We are a Certified Regional Small Business with the City of Cleveland, and a Small Business Enterprise with the

Ohio Department of Transportation, Cuyahoga County, and the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District.
